WED, OCT 8 | 7:30PM | HAROLD MIOSSI HALL | $32-55
Camila Fernández, born in Guadalajara, is the only female voice of the Fernández Dynasty and a rising force in Mexican regional music. Showing talent from age four, she later studied at Berklee College of Music and trained in Guadalajara and San Diego. Initially exploring various genres, Camila embraced mariachi, honoring a promise to her grandfather, Vicente Fernández. Influenced by iconic artists, she began crafting her own sound and songs. Since her 2017 debut, Camila has gained recognition through notable performances and collaborations. Her 2023 self-titled album blends tradition with modern flair, featuring 20 love-themed tracks, nine of which she wrote.
Thanks to her unique qualities, Camila Fernández is undeniably the best representative of the new Mexican regional music: a revolutionary woman who blends the best of multiple worlds to create an authentic and distinct style. Her music is a gift for Mexican music enthusiasts and an inspiration for future generations.
